Identifying threats to businesses and people online can be like searching for a needle in a haystack.

We find the needles in the haystack.

About

ABOUT HEIA

Hate & Extremism Insights Aotearoa (HEIA) researches, analyses, and assesses online behaviour and associated threat levels of violence and extremism in Aotearoa New Zealand.

We employ a range of computer driven and qualitative tools and approaches to monitor the nature and volume of hate speech, misogyny, disinformation, extremist ideologies and violence, and other topics.

Politically impartial, objective and evidence-driven, HEIA works closely with a range of stakeholders to keep Aotearoa – and its diverse and connected communities and spaces – safe from harm.
